Lagos na di first state wey elect female deputy govnor. In 1992, during one short civilian rule, na Micheal Otedola dem elect as govnor of Lagos state under di National Republic Convention (NRC) with Sinatu Ojikutu as im running mate.

In 1999, Nigeria enta civilian rule. Bola Tinubu bin win di Lagos govnorship election under di Alliance for Democracy (AD) party with Kofoworola Akerele-Bucknor as im running mate.

From that time, di likes of Adebisi Sosan, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, and Oluranti Adebule get di position of elected female deputy govnors of Lagos between 2007 to 2019.

Ayo Fayose bin appoint Abiodun Olujimi as di first female deputy govnor of Ekiti from September 2005 to 2006. Funmilayo Olayinka come be deputy for Kayode Fayemi from 2010 to 2013 before she die while Modupe Adelabu become deputy govnor for May 2013.

In Ogun state, Salimat Badru bin serve as deputy govnor from 2003-2011, and Yetunde Onanuga chop deputy govnor of di state from 2015 to 2019.

In Osun, Olusola Obada folo be deputy govnor from 2003 to 2010 during di administration of Olagunsoye Oyinlola, while Titilayo Laoye-Tomori become deputy govnor of di state from 2010 to 2018.

Pauline Tallen become di deputy govnor of Plateau state for 2007, and di first woman to be deputy govnor for northern Nigeria while Ipalibo Banigo deputise Nyesom Wike for Rivers from 2015 to 2023.

Cecilia Ezeilo bin serve as deputy govnor to Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi afta im win di state govnorship election for 2015.

Dem elect Noimot Salako-Oyedele togeda with Dapo Abiodun for Ogun state for 2019, di same year wey Balarabe enta office as di first female deputy govnor of Kaduna.

In 2022, dem choose Balarabe as Uba Sani running mate. In March 2023, dem relect her deputy govnor.
