One Facebook user don claim sey video wey show as hooded armed security operatives dey break into residential apartment hapun for south-east.

On July 26, Uche Nworah, one Facebook user, reference di video to complain about how di “culture of violence” dey hapun wella for di south-east “under di name of fighting insecurity”.

“We don create culture of violent, opportunistic behaviour for Southeast ontop fighting insecurity. Any armed, hooded and untrained individual, accompanied by im mates wey don probably take drugs fit enta your house do different acts of aggression, as we see for dis video wey no get date,” na so im write for di video.

“No proper protocols dey dis place, and dem no dey respect human rights. When dis terror go end? Imagine sey children bin dey live for di house.”

Di post gada over 200 comments, 400 likes, and 48 shares.

Di Facebook user publish di video as insecurity dey rise for some parts of di south-east.

WETIN WE CHECK

CableCheck analysed keyframes of di video wey Nworah post for Google Lens. Di results show sey di video first comot for internet sake of one X user identified as @MichealFrosh32, on July 25.

Di X user claim sey police officers under di codename “operation flush” for Ado Ekiti bin forcefully break into one apartment for Adebayo street for di Ekiti state capital.

“As of today, Operation Flush for Ado-Ekiti attempt daylight robbery for one apartment for Adebayo, Ado-Ekiti, by forcefully attacking di premises. No be dia first time, but today we get evidence to stand up for our rights. #saveUs #NANSAdoekiti #PoliceProtest,” na so di X user write.

For di video, one of di armed men wear one black outfit wey get di writing: “special force”.

Di post comot different reactions for di microblogging platform as e catch police attention.

Twenty-four hours afta di video appear online, di Ekiti police command release statement wey tok sey dem no get unit codenamed “operation flush” as di viral X post claim.

For di statement, Abutu Sunday, di command chief informate, tok sey Joseph Eribo, di state police commissioner, don order one investigation into di incident.

“Di Police no dey operate any unit called Operation Flush,” na so Sunday bin tok.
