Ali Barde Umoru, secretary of the research and information directorate of the national assembly, has denied saying that President Bola Tinubu will present the 2025 budget proposal on Wednesday.
There are reports and social media posts quoting Umoru as saying that the president will present the proposal on the aforementioned day.
In a statement on Tuesday, Audu Bullah Biallah, director of information in the directorate, said the secretary asked the public to disregard the information.
“The secretary advised that any official enquiry and clarification should follow the official communication channels of the National Assembly,” he said.
