Dangote Group has dismissed a viral video advert claiming that Aliko Dangote, its founder, has developed a financial platform that doubles users’ wealth.

The video, purportedly aired on TVC, featured a manipulated voiceover claiming that Dangote Group had launched a revolutionary $3 billion project that would eliminate the need for employment.

“Nigerians will no longer have to work. Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote recently made such an announcement when he unveiled a new project in which he has invested $3 billion. This is the first project of its kind,” the fake reporter said.

“The billionaires team has developed an automated financial platform that allows any user to increase their fortune from $250 to $4,000 within the first month, they get access to a trading robot that works for them and enjoys the benefits.

“We interviewed Aliko Dangote to find out how it all works. Here are his comments.”

The video further alleged that Dangote endorsed the project, saying, “My new project is an immediate solution to inflation and poverty. Since participation is limited, only a select number of people will have access”.

“Our quantum-computer-powered AI system trades stocks and cryptocurrencies automatically to generate wealth,” he allegedly said.

Reacting to the viral clip on Tuesday, the Dangote Group released an official statement debunking the claims.

“Our attention has been drawn to a fake video. We urge the public to disregard and ignore these fraudulent adverts to avoid falling victim to scammers,” the company said on X.

The conglomerate also said it will “not be responsible for any losses or claims linked to these scammers”.

TAGGED: Dangote Group, employment
