FOTO WEY COME FROM SKIT DEY MISREPRESENTED AS REAL EVENT

On December 1, Oriental Times, one blogsite, post foto wey show as one man hold AK-47 rifle and Bible beside one woman.

 

Dem write for di foto sey: “Nigerian Pastor Dey Preach With AK-47 For Street”.

Di post don gada pass 4,500 likes, 880 comments, and 230 shares.

Using Google Lens to conduct reverse image search, CableCheck discover sey dem screenshot di foto from one video by one Nigerian content creator, aka Pastor Destiny.

Di content creator bin post di video for im Facebook page — REAL DON DADDY — on November 24, wey show as he tanda for road wit one woman dey preach for street as im hold Bible and AK-47 gun.

Di content creator dey make content wey dey mix prayer, preaching, and comedy.

AI FOTO OF WORSHIPPERS WEY DEY CARI GUN

Anoda viral foto show as some churchgoers with AK-47 gun tanda for church. Di foto don waka for social media. Some of di pipu wey post am claim sey di church dey Kwara.

On November 23, one X user wey get handle @BLEXGUY post di viral foto come write: “Happy Sunday from church for kwara guide yourself….. No wait for security”.

Di post don gada pass one million views with ova 2,000 reposts, 309 quotes, and 19,000 likes.

Close inspection of di viral foto show signs of AI.

First, di woman wey tanda for di centre of di foto dey hold AK-47 get four fingers for her right hand.

Second, wen we check di foto for SynthID, one tool wey dey watermark and identify AI-generated content, e show sey dem create di foto wit Google AI.

Anoda viral foto of one woman wey hold gun togeda wit Bible as she wear security jacket comot for Facebook as dem write “One hand wit bible other hand wit gun scriptures fulfill NEHEMIAH 4:3-17 Father protect all believers in Jesus Name ABEG PRAY FOR BELIEVERS”.

OLD FOTO OF PRIEST WEY HOLD GUN FOR CHURCH

One Facebook page identified as Chinedu Anichi TV wit ova 88,000 followers post di foto come write: “Na di only way di remaining Nigerian Christians fit go. Worship on Sunday. True true kontri don finish”.

CableCheck discover sey di foto of di Catholic priest don dey internet since 2017. Dem bin use di foto wela for dis kain tok some years ago.
